Seema and Sanjin are just incredible. They’re both doctors who met while they were in med school at Tulane. They’re also kind of a big deal – their engagement story was featured in The New York Times (along with one of my photos ????). On their wedding day, the two got ready at the Eliza Jane and got married at The Civic Theatre – one of my favorite wedding venues in New Orleans.
Everything about this day was to die for. Weather in New Orleans is always a wild card but we were lucky enough to have clear skies and low temps so no one sweat through their clothes. The staff at The Eliza Jane were so accommodating and let us take any photos we wanted throughout the entire venue. I have to give a huge shout-out to Becky Lampp and Julia Parish of Spanish Oak Events who orchestrated the entire day and made sure that everyone had everything that they needed. They were lifesavers.
I also have to point out that the wedding was on the day of the LSU-Alabama game. We finished all of our portraits in time to join a large group of their guests who had gathered around the TVs in the bar and catch the final 2 minutes of the first half. Everyone was buzzing once we saw the score. We got word that the Tigers won during the reception and celebrated with the fight song and Callin’ Baton Rouge, just like almost every other wedding in Louisiana that night, I’m sure.
